And so it begins. We’ve committed ourselves to not only providing a Premier radio show based on Technology and Gadgets, but now we have to keep this website up to date too. But hey, no big deal! We’re all passionate about tech and so much so that really it’s not so much of a deal to keep the website current as we like to think it is. Still, we’re going to make a little bit of a song and dance about it!

So It’s with great pleasure that today, July 1st 2010 we bring you the all new Saint FM’s Technology Show website for all those tech heads and anybody who just want’s to tune into a fun a lively radio chat show in the Maldon district.

Getting around the new website

Welcome to The Technology Show website. An all new website for Saint FM’s Premier Technology show being broadcast on Thursday evenings in the Maldon District.

Our new site allows for interaction and communication between our listeners and the team here on The Technology Show by means of story commenting, polls, Twitter and Facebook.

We’ve included new areas on the site including the ability to check up on the most recent Show Notes from a particular broadcast. These notes will feature on the homepage, and you can go also go back and view other weeks by a simple calendar system or by clicking the Show Notes link. Bear with us on this one as we’ve only just started to create the Show Notes for your consumption so there’s not a lot in the database at this time.

What’s happening on the next show?

Like the Show Notes we will always feature a Next Show section on the homepage so you can quickly see what’s coming up  for the,  er,  next show.

Want to know more about the Team?

We’ve got a Team page where you can read some brief bios for all the presenters on the show including Rich, James, Dan, Si and our regular guests in the studio.

And what about listening to the show?

You can tune into Saint FM in the Maldon District on 94.7FM or click on the Listen Live link presented on every page.

So now you’ve got a taste for the new website, we hope you enjoy it and have fun exploring it as it grows.

Thursday June 24th Show Notes

On Thursday’s show we discussed the new iPhone 4 and had the pleasure of Shayne Williams giving us a First impressions of the unit after having his for a little over 24 hours. James Hayden was on the phone from Dorset trying to get fellow campers to chat to us on the radio. He failed!

We were introduced to Gadget Grandad who popped into the show with Chip Chipper to discuss his thoughts on the original 1990 Nintendo Gameboy. Not that he had many thoughts mind you.

Our guest in the studio was Dan Keen from The Switchover.

We love our Regulars

  • ~ Gadget Grandad

    gg

GG is the most mysterious of our regular guests on The technology Show. Nobody knows much about him, other than his love for gadgets and technology of by-gone eras and without question his love for Mrs Gadge. We do know he travels time, but unsure how he does it, what his true age is and from what era he is actually from.

Is he from the past or is he from the future? Could he even be a cybertronic robot sent back through time to assimilate useful (and sometimes not so useful) household gadgets from the past, and to then return to a distance future to recreate these classics pieces of tech for a civilistion who have lost their way in technological progression and innovation? Or could he just be a grumpy old git with metal implants in his head who turns up every week in some dodgy old Vauxhall Chevette?
